This short video lecture briefly explains limitations of tools for detecting of academic misconduct to support their proper use in education. The two types of technology included are text-matching software and AI tools for detection of text generated by AI. Understanding of these tools and their limitations enables to set relevant policies and procedures correctly to support building culture of academic integrity.
