ENAI Board and Auditing Group Elections 2026
The European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2026 Elections. Our community will elect five members to the ENAI Board and three members to the Auditing Group for the 2026–2029 term.
As per the ENAI Constitution, these elections are conducted by the General Assembly, with voting rights reserved exclusively for our Institutional Members. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of academic integrity and our network.

The ENAI Board (5 Members)
The Board is the strategic and executive heart of the organization. They are the authorized representatives who manage ENAI’s daily operations and long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Strategic Leadership: Planning and overseeing all ENAI activities, research projects, and international collaborations.
-
Financial Management: Approving the annual budget and ensuring the organization’s financial sustainability.
-
Membership Oversight: Reviewing and approving new member applications and, if necessary, deciding on the exclusion of members.
-
Team Leadership: Appointing ENAI staff and the heads of the various Working Groups.
-
Internal Governance: Electing the President and Vice-President from among their ranks.
-
Accountability: Presenting annual reports to the General Assembly.
The Auditing Group (3 Members)

Financial Oversight: Checking all financial transactions and reviewing annual financial statements.
-
Efficiency & Transparency: Ensuring that ENAI’s spending is efficient and aligned with the association’s goals.

Voting Process & Guidelines
The “One Vote” Rule: While ENAI has many individual members, only an Institutional Member is entitled to exactly one vote. Each institution must designate one official representative – usually, it is the official representative who has the authorization from the institution. The voting process will be held online, as the AGM will be in hybrid mode to accommodate all institutional representatives (including those who are not attending the conference in Batumi). Voting is valid only if a majority of institutional members’ representatives are present.
Voter Verification: By August 1st, 2026, the ENAI staff will finalize a “Whitelist” of verified voters. Unique digital access keys will be sent to these representatives via the OpaVote platform.
Election Stages:
-
Board Selection: A pool of candidates is narrowed down to the top 5 via Approval Voting.
-
Trust Vote: The General Assembly must approve the final slate of 5 candidates by a majority (50% + 1). If the majority of members vote “No” during the Trust Vote for the top 5 candidates, the results are voided. The election must then restart immediately using the original pool of candidates. If the trust vote fails twice, the results of the third round of voting for the board are considered final
-
Auditing Group: The top 3 candidates are selected to oversee financial and constitutional compliance.
