We are delighted to announce the 2nd ENAI Academic Integrity PhD Summer School which is planned to be organized as a face-to-face event by Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Centre for Academic Integrity in Canakkale, Turkey. The province of Canakkale lies on both sides of the Dardanelles and has lands both in Asia and Europe continents. Assos, an historical site in Canakkale, is known as the settlement where Aristotle opened the first philosophy school. Thus, the opening lecture of the summer school is planned to be in Assos with an additional trip to antique Troy city which is located in Canakkale as well.

The 1st ENAI Academic Integrity Summer School was organized as a five-day online summer school collaboratively with Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey; the University of Wollongong in Dubai, UAE; and Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences, Lithuania on behalf of ENAI last year. The program included various topics from academic integrity which were lectured in two 3-hours sessions per day. The lecturers were 21 academic integrity experts from all over the world. Last year, there were over 40 participants coming from 13 different countries including Australia, Canada, Croatia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Qatar, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.

By means of this “Call for Proposals”, we would like to invite scholars to inform us about their interest to teach at the summer school. Since we are aiming at PhD students, we expect from our summer school lecturers to hold a PhD degree.

We are planning to make the summer school “free” once again since we regard this event as a great opportunity to promote academic integrity. For this purpose, we would like to clarify that there will be no “honorarium” for the lecturers. Lecturers are expected to get funds from their home institutions or other funding sources to teach at the summer school considering their travel and accommodation expenses. We are already in contact with possible sponsors to provide some funds for a few lecturers to contribute to their travel and accommodation expenses; yet, we cannot guarantee this option.

Should you wish to join us at the ENAI Academic Integrity PhD Summer School as a lecturer, we kindly invite you to submit your proposal before the 24th of March 2022 via this web-based form. The ENAI Academic Integrity PhD Summer School 2022 Organizing Committee will confirm the lecturers and the programme depending on available funds and the topics covered. The summer school programme and the confirmed lecturers will be announced at the European Conference on Academic Integrity and Plagiarism 2022 and PhD students will be invited to apply for the summer school.

If you have any questions about the summer school, pleas contact Dr Salim Razi.

On behalf of the ENAI Academic Integrity PhD Summer School 2022 Organizing Committee, we would like to thank you for your interest in our summer school.
