Introducing the new ENAI Working Group: Integrity For All – Ethics and Inclusion in Higher Education

We are excited to announce the official launch of a new ENAI working group, Integrity For All – Ethics and Inclusion in Higher Education, dedicated to exploring and promoting the ethical dimensions of inclusion in academic integrity across institutions of higher learning. As the world of education continues to diversify, we believe it is crucial to ensure that all voices are heard, respected, and represented in academia. We also want to raise awareness about the position of some student groups who experience greater difficulty or disadvantages with institutional approaches to academic integrity; we seek to address this inequity through promoting Universal Design for Learning and informed, inclusive academic integrity pedagogy.

Led by Professor Mary Davis from Oxford Brookes University, UK, a renowned expert in academic integrity and inclusion, this working group will focus on developing practical materials, including guides, tools, and resources, as well as recommendations for improvements to institutional academic integrity policies, designed to foster ethical inclusivity. The group will also hold regular webinars and workshops, offering educational opportunities and spaces for discussion on how to build inclusive academic environments that uphold ethical standards.

This group will officially launch during the International Day of Action (IDoA)  for on Academic Integrity (16.10.2024), and the first meeting will follow shortly after. At this inaugural meeting, we will set out the vision and mission of the group, ensuring that it reflects the values of fairness, respect, and inclusion in all aspects of academic integrity.

We warmly invite all members of the academic community—students, educators, administrators, and researchers—to join us in this initiative. Together, we can contribute to creating an inclusive and ethical academic landscape for academic integrity.

If you are passionate about these issues and would like to collaborate, share your expertise, or learn from others, we encourage you to become part of the working group by applying to our email info@academicintegrity.eu.

Let’s shape a future where academic integrity goes hand in hand with inclusion!
